His Excellency Sultan Al Jaber was appointed as Minister of State in the UAE Cabinet in March 2013 working on various tasks entrusted by the Cabinet. He handles some government issues to boost UAE’s reputation regionally and globally such as in media, energy, climate change as well as the UAE’s aid to Egypt.
His Excellency worked as Assistant to Foreign Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
Beside his ministerial responsibilities, His Excellency is currently Head of the Coordination Office of the Development Aid Projects in Egypt, Chairperson of the National Media Council since 2005. He holds also the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar and the Special Envoy for Energy and Climate Change of the United Arab Emirates.
H.E. Sultan Al Jaber holds a number of executive positions such as Chairman of Sky News Arabia; Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports Company (Kizad); Director-General of Zayed Future Energy Prize; and Director General of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
H.E. Sultan Al Jaber holds a PhD in business and economics from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, and an MBA from the California State University at Los Angeles, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California the United States.
